Croatia

Azure lagoons with crystal-clear water. Picturesque villages with vineyards and olive trees. Markets where all kinds of fruit and vegetables are sold and not least a very friendly population that welcomes tourists. Add to this that it is still less expensive to go on holiday in Croatia that in most other well-known tourist countries in Europe. Doesn’t this sound like the perfect holiday destination?
The nature in Croatia is incredibly beautiful and includes mountain areas, green pine forests and an archipelago with more than a thousand wonderful islands. The bathing water, which is considered the cleanest in Europe, is perfect for all kinds of water sports or maybe just a cooling swim after having spent the day on one of the many cosy and peaceful beaches.
Croatia is a young country, but with a history of a thousand years, which means that if you want cultural experiences during your holiday, there are plenty of opportunities for that as well. Less than 100 years ago, Croatia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which has left its mark in many places in the country, and in Pula on the southern tip of Istria, you will find one of the largest and most well-preserved Roman amphitheatres in Europe.
A successful holiday also includes nice food and drinks. Croatian cuisine is very varied and has maintained its distinctiveness, but is obviously also influenced by traditions from neighbouring countries, such as Italy, Turkey, Hungary and Austria, but because the Croatians love to cook, you can always be sure to get a delicious experience.
Finally, it is worth pointing out that Croatia is the country with the most hours of sunshine in all of Europe.
Welcome to Croatia.
