Makarska
Makarska Riviera is a part of the Middle Dalmatian coast of Adriatic and is about 60 kilometers long and only several kilometres wide, squeezed under towering mountain Biokovo. Sunny climate, long pebbly beaches and clean azure blue sea make this region a popular tourist destination.
Makarska has Mediterranean charm and relaxed everyday rhythm and in the small villages along the coastline. You can enjoy the sun and the beautiful beaches or take on active trips in the Biokovo mountains. In the evening there are plenty of cafés and restaurants where you can have a nice local dinner of fresh fish and hear live music with view to the sea.
Makarska is also the name of an old town with a charming harbour in the center of Makarska. The town is located at the base of Biokovo and is surrounded by fantastic, beautiful pines. In the town you will find narrow stone-paved streets and a main church square where a flower and fruit market takes place.
