Punat
The town of Punat is situated on the Kvarner island of Krk, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Punat lies on the south-east part on the picturesque and green Puntarska draga and is placed only 8 km southeast of the town of Krk.
A place worth visiting is the small wooded island of Kosljun placed in the middle of the shallow Puntarska draga, which houses a Franciscan monastery, built on the ruins of a Roman villa.
Punat has a well-equipped large marina, nice swimming areas surrounded by rich vegetation, and various sporting facilities as e.g. tennis, mini golf, diving, sailing, underwater and sports fishing, diving and sailing courses. Punat is an ideal holiday area for all, who enjoy sailing, active holidays and various types of entertainment.
