Rab

The island of Rab has a favourable climate with a special tourist and cultural atmosphere. The island offers a lot of Renaissance and Gothic palaces of old noble families and beautiful stone streets with street painters in summer in the town of Rab. At the markets of Rab the plantations are selling their fruits and vegetables and daily activities including the Rab knight’s tournament for archers are taking place.
A nice way to explore the island of Rab is by trekking where you can enjoy the nature, see unusual sand dunes, pass by old houses where people still follow a tradition way of living and enjoy the beautiful view of neighbouring islands. The island also offers many other sport and underwater activities.
At the west side of the island you will find rocky beaches, at the east side pebble beaches and at the north side sandy beaches. The most famous sand beach is Rajska Plaza near Lopar.
The island of Rab is connected to the mainland by ferry from Jablanac.
