Insurance prices
Vacasol and Europæiske Rejseforsikring offer two types of travel insurance as extra options when renting a holiday home. Our cancellation insurance is already included in the rental price. Both types of insurance ensure that the rent will be refunded in cases of illness or injury. Please note that insurance must be purchased when booking the holiday home, and cannot be purchased additionally afterwards.
Price example
If you rent a holiday home for EUR 750, you can buy rental insurance for EUR 10. With this policy, you can cancel with no deductible in the event that you fall ill before your holiday. If you have to interrupt your holiday, you will also receive compensation. And if you happen to damage anything in the holiday home, the insurance policy will provide cover.

Cancellation insurance included in the price
All our rental prices include cancellation insurance which will cover you if you have to cancel the holiday home booking due to illness, injury or death.
Cancellation insurance cover applies until the day before the commencement of the tenancy, if the insured is unable to move into the holiday home on the arrival date (the first date of rental) because of death, a serious accident, acute illness, fire or burglary suffered by the tenant or his companion(s), or their wives, husbands, children, siblings or parents, which must be reported to Vacasol not later than 12.00 noon on the day before the commencement of the tenancy.
Holiday home rent insurance - optional extra
If you have rented a holiday home, but have to cancel or interrupt your stay because of illness, injury or death affecting yourself or your closest family, the insurance covers that part of the rent which Vacasol is entitled to according to the rental agreement. If you interrupt your stay, rent will be refunded for the days when you do not make use of the holiday home. When the interruption is reported to Vacasol not later than 12 noon, the insurance cover applies to the following day. With regard to documentation, the same rules apply as for cancellation insurance. Tenant insurance also covers any accidental damage caused to the home contents of the holiday home.
