Lolland is a very flat island where most of the area does not rise more than 10 m above ocean level. The terrain on Falster is more hilly, particularly in the northern part of the island. On both islands, the old markets towns with their old streets and beautiful, well-preserved houses encourage you to go on a relaxing trip to town.
Beaches
Lolland and Falster are known for their long stretch of coast, covering 600 km and offering many lovely and not least child-friendly beaches. On the east coast of Falster at the towns Elkenøre, Sillestrup, Marielyst and Bøtø is a 25-km sandy beach where there is room for everyone.

Lolland and Falster have their very own cultural environment that is worth exploring. The islands accommodate many performing artists, which means that there is a large number of galleries and exhibitions.
Knuthenborg Park & Safari
At Knuthenborg Park & Safari – the largest animal park in Northern Europe – you can drive around in a car among the animals and thereby get really close to giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, ostriches and antelopes.
The Medieval Centre in Nykøbing Falster
The Medieval Centre in Nykøbing Falster is an experimental museum centre with plenty of activities for children and adults.
Fuglsang Art Museum
The 2500-sqm building at the manor Fuglsang Gods is the unique location of the collections of Fuglsang Art Museum, which is one of the few art museums covering a wide area in the Zealand region.
The museum holds a very fine collection of Danish art from the end of the 1700s until today: paintings, sculptures and artwork on paper.
