Béziers

You find Béziers in Languedoc in the south of France about 10 km from the Mediterrenean Sea. The town is oozing with history, and for a small provincial city it has a surprising number of attractions, parks and gardens, museums, art galleries, theatres, bars, and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine.
This small city, with its stunning cathedral and fabulous Canal du Midi, has a peaceful charm and calmness that makes it possible for you to walk the historic streets without being crushed.
Every Friday you can enjoy one of the big markets around the city and see the huge selection of fresh food and cloths, smell the flowers and perhaps make a good deal.
Bèziers organises many events all year round but the most famous one is Feria de Béziers, which is a five day event in August centred around bullfighting, shows, music and dance.
About 10-15 km from Bèziers you will find many childfriendly beaches as e.g. Valras Plage, Vendres Plage, Sérignan Plage and Cap d'Agde Plage. It is up to you to choose.
