Florence is the capital city of the region of Tuscany with almost 365.000 inhabitants and has been a cultural centre since the early Middle Ages. The renaissance city is surrounded by beautiful nature at River Arno and offers a treasury of art and architecture. The city has attracted many great artists, such as Michelangelo, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci. Their masterpieces can today be experienced in the many museums in the town.
