The Costa Cálida (The Warm Coast) is the approximately 250 km stretch of the Mediterranean Spanish coastline of Murcia. Two seas on one coastline, impressive cliffs, beaches of endless white sand, lively ports, wild coves, wonderful sun and mild temperatures make the region a paradise

The landscape of Costa Cálida
This south-eastern corner of Spain is virtually a desert and is some of the driest territories in Europe. It is a horizon of oleanders, prickly pears and wild dwarf palms that recalls, on some or other watchtowers, the danger of piracy. The best beaches are in the extreme south around Águilas where you'll find some dazzling unspoiled coves.
Large cities in Costa Cálida: Murcia and Cartagena
The capital Murcia has a Gothic cathedral and it is placed where an Arab mosque once stood. The Salzillo Museum with the artist Easter week sculptures is worth a visit.

Tourist attractions in Costa Cálida
La Manga del Mar Menor, which means “little sea” is a salt-water lagoon between two seas with long beaches, sandy sea beds, crystalline waters. The lake Mar Menor is said to be the largest saltwater lake in Europe.
South of Cartagena the scenic coastline is undeveloped with a succession of fine coves lying beneath a backdrop of arid, serrated hills. The inland is almost deserted, and you may visit several towns which still preserve their medieval structures.
Sports activities in Costa Cálida
Costa Calida is surrounded by balmy seawaters, making the whole coast one of the best places in the world for practising sailing, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing and more. The golf sport remains unbeatable, especially in the luxurious La Manga Club.
