The charming rustic village of Colonno offers an authentic Italian backdrop to the modern property and provides a choice of local amenities with a frequent lake bus service to the many charming and famous towns including Lenno, Tremezzo, Menaggio and Como.

If guests are driving the property is conveniently situated from the main visitor towns, services and attractions on Lake Como from, being centrally located along the visitor friendly western coast.

Just a short drive will take guests to the wide choice of amenities which can be found in the modern yet historical village of Lenno. The village is also home to the jewel of Lake Como, Villa Balbianello, an extraordinary place to visit, with spectacular views from its splendid gardens and easily accessible by foot or taxi boat from the bay in Lenno.

The very prominent attraction of Villa Carlotta, with its breathtaking botanical gardens and popular central lake position attracts a high number of visitors and can be easily reached by car from Colonno in approximately 10 minutes. Both villas play host each year to wonderful music recitals and aperitif evenings which feature either indoors or in the romantic grounds.

Just under a 15 minute drive away from the property guests can also conveniently use the car and passenger ferry service from Cadenabbia, which operates between the famous golden triangle towns and which offers a fantastic way of seeing Lake Como.

The famous resort town of Menaggio can be reached by car in less than 20 minutes and its charming visitor appeal makes it a wonderful place to enjoy the day, with cafe-lined lake front piazzas, interesting passageways and a pretty promenade leading to the popular Lido with swimming pools and beach. Boutique shops and delicatessens also provide an interesting shopping experience.

There are many fabulous restaurants on the central lake and there are many good local Pizzerias in the local area as well as some excellent restaurants, including the contemporary ‘La Piazzetta’ in Argegno, the lakefront ‘La Darsena’ in Tremezzo and the country style Agro-turismo of ‘La Fagurida’ on the Tremezzo hillside.

Como city with all its cosmopolitan delights and transport links to Milan can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car or bus.
