Montellà is a tiny mountain village 3km from Martinet. This village, of Roman origin, is set in an ideal location on the border of the two Catalan regions Alt Urgell and Cerdanya and at the foot of the largest protected areas in Catalunya, Cadi-Moixeró National Park. The most popular outdoor sport is hiking, with paths of diferent difficulties. Other popular sports in the area are alpine skiing (Masella and La Molina) and cross-country skiing (Lles de Cerdanya), Canoeing and rafting (Olympic Park, La Seu d’Urgell), and fishing.
