House restored in 2008, near Ports Beseit. Situated in the outskirts of Horta de Sant Joan, 22km to the capital of the region, Gandesa. It is surrounded by agriculture fields, vineyards, olive trees, woods and the mountains of Els Ports de Beseit. It consists of a big garden and lawn area where there is a swing and a slide for children. Pool 10x5. The entrance of the house has a porch with table and benches next to the barbecue. Pool only opened during summer, cannot be used during winter.
Distributed in three levels. On the ground floor we find the living room, dining room, with comfortable leather sofas, fireplace, TV and stereo and garden view, equipped with a long table and an extra round table with chairs. Open kitchen to the dining room with electric hop, electric oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and another cooking utensils. And a pantry with iron, washing machine and scullery, near to the room with cleaning utensils. Climbing some steps and we enter the first level where we find a double room with double bed and one double with two single beds and a bathroom with bath. Another stairs take us to the second level where there is a living room with tourist information about the Via Verde and the surrounding areas. At the same floor there are 3 rooms with a double bed, another with three single beds and the third room with two beds (105cm) and a bathroom with shower. Central heating.
Gorge walking on the river Canaletes, climbing, abseiling, hiking and horse riding are all activities that can be enjoyed along the region’s “green route” (ruta verda), which traces the old railway line from La Puebla de Hijar, Tortosa to the river Ebro. Spa at Fontcalda. Other recommended sites are The Ports de Beseit mountain range (declared national park in 2001) and the monastery of Saint Salvador. An hour away is the national park of the Ebro delta. There are also many family owned vineyards in the area which can visited in Boit, El Pinell del Brai and Gandesa.
