EL ATAJO
In the middle of the historic center of Chio, at a height of 400 meter, next to the church, lies the beautiful ancient typical Canarian village-house from the 18th century.
The village is surrounded by the mountains of Tejina and has a wonderful view over the sea with the neighboring islands of La Gomera, Hierro and La Palma.

At that time the house was the first public school in the village. It’s built around a large, beautiful courtyard, there are 2 buildings: 

In the first one are 2 bedrooms - 1 glazed veranda – a small terrace - living room - bathroom – large and comfortable kitchen. 

The second one: 1 bedroom on the 1st floor with bathroom and another bedroom on the second floor.

Wonderful wooden roof and wooden floors. 
Very romantic and cozy atmosphere. 

Right next to El Atajo is “La Zapatería”, therefore it’s ideal for smaller groups or families traveling together. 

Restaurants and shops in the village. 
The nearest beach is about 10 min. and the major tourist zones are approximately 20 - 25 minutes away. 
Sports facilities such as surfing, diving, sailing, hiking, mountain biking, etc nearby, as well as several golf courses.
